We Have Everything in Tanzania, We Are So Blessed ~ Juma Jux

Tanzanian music star Juma Jux has proudly declared his love for his home country in a recent interview on BBC Radio 1Xtra with Eddie Kadi, where he spoke about what makes Tanzania distinct among Africa’s 54 countries. During the interview, host Eddie Kadi emphasized Africa’s diversity, noting that while the continent is united, each country carries its own identity. He then asked Jux what sets Tanzania apart.

“For anybody that has never been to Tanzania, to be honest, we are so blessed. We have everything there,” Juma Jux responded.

Kadi acknowledged he had previously visited Tanzania but had only stopped in Dar es Salaam. He praised the country’s natural beauty, saying, “Your water is really turquoise. Not light blue—turquoise. Your water is clean.”

Juma Jux encouraged Kadi to return for a fuller experience, pointing out that Dar es Salaam is just one part of the country. “You have to come back. You didn’t do like… Dar, that even is not the most beautiful place by the way. We have everything. Like if you want to see animals, we have. Zanzibar. Even, we have beautiful ladies too,” he added.

The interview highlighted Tanzania’s rich natural resources, tourist attractions, and cultural pride. Juma Jux’s remarks reflect a growing trend of African artists using international platforms to showcase the beauty and diversity of their home countries.
