We Want The World To Say, Africa Has a Lot Of Talent And a Lot To Give To The World
As the countdown begins for his upcoming performance in London, Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz has shared a glimpse into what fans can expect and it’s unlike anything seen before on the global stage.
In an exclusive interview with media personality Olamide Grace, Diamond expressed his excitement about bringing East African music and culture to a new audience, promising a show that will stand apart from other African performances.
“We want the world to say, Africa has a lot of talent and a lot to give to the world,’” Diamond said. “I know people have experienced different African performances, but trust me, this is totally different.”Speaking with conviction, the artist noted that while West African and Congolese shows have set high standards, the London show will spotlight something distinct, the flair and flavor of East Africa.
“For the first time, we’re gonna have a totally different show. It comes from Africa, yes but from the east of Africa,” he explained. “I’ve attended West African shows, Congolese shows… but now we’re bringing another African thing.”
Known for blending Bongo Flava with global sounds, Diamond also hinted that the upcoming performance will reflect the emotional and romantic depth East African music is often celebrated for.
“I know you guys say we’re so romantic,” he said with a smile. “I want to show you how romantic we really are.”
Diamond Platnumz, one of Africa’s biggest musical exports, continues to bridge cultures and redefine the global narrative around African entertainment.
