AEBS 2026 Sets Stage for African Businesses to Shine Globally

The African Entrepreneurship & Business Summit (AEBS) has officially announced its theme for 2026: “Made in Africa, Built for the World.” This year’s summit will take place in Lagos, Nigeria, in November, uniting Africa’s most ambitious entrepreneurs, investors, innovators, and policymakers to celebrate the continent’s homegrown businesses and globally competitive solutions.

With the 2026 theme, AEBS seeks to position African enterprises as innovation-driven, investment-ready, and globally competitive. The summit will highlight businesses, products, and technologies developed on the continent, powered by African talent and designed to scale internationally. By showcasing African ingenuity and resilience, AEBS aims to demonstrate how local businesses are reshaping industries, driving economic growth, and leaving a lasting mark on the global economy.

AEBS 2026 promises an action-packed program featuring keynote addresses, panel discussions, masterclasses, exhibitions, awards, and strategic networking sessions. These activities will create opportunities for knowledge sharing, partnership building, and visibility for both startups and established brands. The summit will also host the African Entrepreneurship Awards, recognizing founders and enterprises making remarkable contributions to Africa’s business landscape and beyond.

“AEBS 2026 is more than just an event; it is a movement to showcase the global potential of African businesses,” said Betty Buzo, convener of AEBS. “This year’s theme celebrates African ingenuity and proves that enterprises made in Africa are not only competitive locally but built to thrive globally. Lagos, as a dynamic economic hub, provides the ideal platform to connect visionaries, investors, and decision-makers from across Africa and beyond.”

Building on previous successes, AEBS 2026 is planning early activities to ensure broader sector coverage, deeper engagement, and stronger partnerships. Last year, despite a shorter timeline, the summit drew hundreds of in-person attendees, thousands online, and tens of thousands of digital impressions, cementing its status as a leading platform for African entrepreneurship.

This year, organizers expect over 500 in-person participants and more than 10,000 online attendees, offering unmatched visibility for entrepreneurs, brands, and sponsors. Participants will gain access to high-growth African businesses, leading investors, policymakers, and innovators driving the continent’s economic future.
