Africa Should Be Far Ahead Given Its Resources and Vision~ Paul Kagame

In a powerful message delivered at the Africa CEO Forum 2025, Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame urged African leaders, businesses, and institutions to act boldly to accelerate the continent’s development. President Kagame stressed that Africa already possesses the vision, knowledge, and resources needed to transform its economic and social future.

“We have the knowledge, we have the vision, resources, organizations… we have everything. Africa should be far ahead of where we are now, and we shouldn’t take any comfort that some progress has been made here or there, we just need to do what we have to do and we have all the means to do it,” President Kagame said during his address, highlighting both the opportunities and urgency for African-led solutions.

Speaking to a gathering of top business leaders, policymakers, and innovators at the forum, his remarks highlighted a recurring theme at this year’s event: that Africa’s growth should not be held back by complacency. Instead, he emphasized that African countries must collaborate, invest in people, and implement policies that translate potential into measurable progress across industries and communities.

The Africa CEO Forum 2025, recognized as one of the continent’s leading business gatherings, continues to spark dialogue around sustainable economic growth, innovation, and inclusive development.
