The Movers’ Society and ISBI Kenya Partner with Strathmore Business School to Empower Africa’s Digital Entrepreneurs

A groundbreaking opportunity for Africa’s digital entrepreneurs has officially launched: The Movers’ Society and ISBI Kenya, in partnership with Strathmore Business School (SBS), have unveiled a first-of-its-kind hybrid (virtual and physical) program designed specifically for digital entrepreneurs, freelancers, and creators.

The 13-week Digital Entrepreneur Program, starting this September, aims to equip participants with practical skills tailored for the digital economy, from building a sustainable online identity and setting up e-commerce systems, to mastering finance for digital ventures, understanding intellectual property, leveraging AI and cybersecurity, and developing leadership skills.

The initiative is spearheaded by Ivy Wanjiru, Founder of The Movers’ Society. “If you run a tech-enabled business, offer online services, create digital products, or work remotely as a freelancer or consultant, this program was designed with you in mind,” Ivy shared during the launch. “It’s about helping entrepreneurs attract high-value clients, grow sustainably, and navigate the digital landscape with confidence.”

Participants will benefit not only from the curriculum but also from mentorship by industry experts and access to ISBI Kenya’s exclusive alumni network — described by Ivy as “gold” for business growth and connection.

Christine Angleitner, Managing Director at ISBI Kenya, highlighted the uniqueness of the program: “What truly sets this apart is the focus purely on digital entrepreneurship, an area that is crucial for Africa’s economic growth yet often overlooked in traditional business programs.” She added that partnering with Strathmore Business School, known as a leader in business education in East Africa, ensures participants gain both practical skills and recognized certification.

With the African digital economy projected to exceed $180 billion by 2025, this program arrives at a pivotal moment. By focusing on local context and practical, actionable strategies, it aims to support startups, freelancers, content creators, and changemakers ready to transform their ideas into scalable, sustainable businesses.

Enrollment for the September 2025 cohort is now open, but spots are limited. Entrepreneurs interested in applying can learn more and register via the official website: https://lnk.bio/the_movers_society
