The Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade & Investment (MCCTI) has officially endorsed the African Entrepreneurship & Business Summit (AEBS) 2026, reaffirming its commitment to advancing entrepreneurship, promoting enterprise development, and supporting initiatives that drive sustainable economic growth across Africa.

The endorsement reflects the Ministry’s recognition of the summit as an impactful platform fostering innovation, business development, investment opportunities, and strategic conversations aimed at strengthening Africa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and positioning African businesses for global relevance.

The Ministry further affirmed its participation as a government institution and official partner, demonstrating support for initiatives driving transformative conversations and practical solutions around Africa’s economic future.

During a strategic engagement meeting between representatives of the African Entrepreneurship & Business Summit (AEBS) and officials of the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade & Investment, the Permanent Secretary commended the AEBS team for their vision, dedication, and commitment toward creating a platform that champions entrepreneurship, leadership, and business excellence across the continent.

The Permanent Secretary described the initiative as a commendable effort toward fostering innovation and strengthening opportunities for entrepreneurs, particularly within emerging sectors driving Africa’s economic transformation.

The Ministry further assured the AEBS team of its maximum institutional support toward the successful delivery of the summit, reiterating its continued commitment to initiatives that promote enterprise growth, trade development, investment, and sustainable economic progress.

Speaking on the endorsement, Betty Buzo, Convener of the African Entrepreneurship & Business Summit (AEBS), expressed appreciation to the Ministry for its confidence in the vision of the summit and its commitment to collaboration.
