Beyoncé’s Cécred and BeyGOOD Commit $250,000 to Cosmetology Schools in U.S. and U.K

Global music icon Beyoncé is expanding her impact in the beauty industry through her haircare brand Cécred and the BeyGOOD Foundation, unveiling a new $250,000 investment to support cosmetology schools across the United States and the United Kingdom.

The 2026 Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund will focus on scholarships and workforce development for aspiring hairstylists, barbers, and beauty professionals. The initiative marks the third year of the program and strengthens Beyoncé’s growing influence in the global beauty economy.

Under the program, 10 cosmetology and barbering schools will each receive $25,000 in scholarship funding. The grants aim to reduce the financial pressure many students face as tuition fees, salon tools, and training equipment continue to rise.

Tina Knowles, Cécred’s vice chairwoman and chair of the BeyGOOD Foundation Board, reflected on her personal connection to cosmetology and the importance of investing in future talent.

She explained that the rising cost of beauty education now makes it harder for many talented students to pursue professional training. Therefore, the expansion from five schools to ten schools this year will provide critical tuition support and help young creatives stay focused on building sustainable careers in beauty.

Since launching in 2024, the Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund has distributed more than $1 million in scholarships and salon business grants. The initiative has already supported 133 students and salon owners, helping many expand their businesses and strengthen their careers in the beauty sector.

The original 2024 program launched with a $500,000 investment targeting salon owners, barbershop operators, and cosmetology students in major cities including Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New Jersey. In addition, the initiative offered mentorship opportunities and business development support through partnerships with organizations such as the National Minority Supplier Development Council.

Industry analysts increasingly view the Black beauty industry as one of the fastest-growing sectors driving entrepreneurship, cultural influence, and generational wealth creation. Black consumers continue to shape global beauty trends, while founders and creators build billion-dollar businesses across haircare, skincare, cosmetics, and wellness.

With Cécred and BeyGOOD expanding their educational mission, Beyoncé is positioning beauty not only as a cultural force but also as a long-term economic opportunity for the next generation of professionals.

As the beauty and personal care market continues to expand globally, initiatives like the Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund could create more pathways for ownership, financial independence, and career growth within the Black beauty community.
